Music Ministry

” I will sing and make music to the Lord!” Psalm 27:6

Salem Lutheran is blessed to have a vibrant music ministry that has been a rich part of our church’s history and we hope to carry that tradition on into the future. Our aim is to strive for excellence in an atmosphere of grace so that our rehearsals become a place to experience community and belonging, no matter what the age group.

Bell Choir

Bell choir offers a wonderful experience for people of all ages to enjoy making music together. Whether you’re a seasoned bell ringer or a novice, we have a place for you to hone your skills, to enjoy the fellowship and fun that happens at rehearsals, and to share the power of ensemble music making in our worship services.
Salem Ringers rehearsal is Wednesday at 5:00 pm

Salem offers a choir opportunity for people of all ages. Perhaps you sang in your high school or college choir and you sometimes look back and remember how rewarding it was; perhaps your kids love to sing and need a place to get connected with their friends here at church; or perhaps you’ve sung in the choir for many years and you can’t imagine life without it. Whatever the circumstance, you can start right here at Salem. Remember, All God’s Creatures Have A Place In the Choir…
Choir rehearsal is Sunday at 8:00 am.

Praise Team

Salem’s blended services offer opportunities for the praise team to lead worship. Sometimes we have many vocalists, or only a few, depending on who is available each Sunday. If you play an instrument, sing, or just want to tap your feet there is a place for you. If you have any interest in joining the praise team, please contact Noreen via the church office phone. We would love you to join us!
Praise Team rehearsal is Sunday at 8:30 am.

At age twelve, she became the official pianist at Bethel Lutheran Brethren Church in Aitkin, Minnesota where her dad was the pastor. Becky has been involved with leading music and as church pianist wherever she has lived.

Praise Team Co-director.
When she was in high school, Noreen would play for the service in her church and sing in their choir.  Singing solos and performing in small groups all over the community is a passion she shared with some great friends.  Music is a very important part of her life, and she loves sharing it.
